There are some things that hardly bear thinking about. One of those is the thought of you or a loved one going through the experience of losing a baby. This is exactly why the magnificent Tommy’s Baby Charity exists – their aim is for all parents to take home happy, healthy babies.
So when Vicky and Freya, the owners of Plum & Ashby asked Ruth to create a fragrance to bring their vision to life for a candle that raises money for Tommy’s charity, we were thrilled to be able to help.
For those of you that don’t know Plum & Ashby, they are a lovely British brand with a wonderful selection of home fragrance, bath and body products. We can’t recommend them highly enough!
Freya and Vicky explained that together with best-selling author, Elle Wright, their vision was to create a relaxing, calming and soothing scent, inspired by the feeling of a fresh breeze on a countryside walk. When Ruth heard them describe this scene, she imagined a walk along a coastal path, surrounded by wild meadows, flowers, lush green grasses, and all the while being enveloped by fresh, salty breeze from the ocean.
With notes of fresh fig, jasmine, orange blossom and fresh sea air, we hope to have helped them achieve their vision with this scent:

As we enter Baby Loss Awareness week, we think of all the parents who have experienced loss, and hope that through Plum & Ashby’s wonderful initiative, funds will be raised to allow Tommy’s to be there for all those who need their support.
